The Art of Living’s Sri Sri Rural Development Programme (SSRDP), the social projects arm of The Art of Living, has been honoured with the Best NGO of the Year 2025 award at the prestigious Global CSR & ESG Awards held in New Delhi.
This recognition celebrates the tireless efforts of AOL-SSRDP in transforming lives across India, from border villages and prisons to schools and rural communities.
So far, AOL – SSRDP has:
- Trained over 4.2 lakh youth in livelihood and skill-based programs.
- Reached 1.65 lakh villagers with solar lamp initiatives, bringing light and safety to rural homes.
- Educated 1 lakh+ students through free value-based education programs.
- Positively transformed over 800,000 inmates globally through skill training and rehabilitation programs.
The Global CSR & ESG Awards acknowledged SSRDP’s pioneering work in:
- Border Village Development, creating opportunities in some of India’s most remote regions.
- Skill-Based Rehabilitation of Jail Inmates, empowering them with skills and self-worth for a new start.
- Holistic Transformation of Government Schools, where education goes hand in hand with values, hygiene, and life skills.
Chairman Prasana Prabhu received the award on behalf of AOL – SSRDP, dedicating the honour to every volunteer, trainer, and partner who made this journey possible.
“This award reaffirms our belief that development is truly sustainable only when it is rooted in compassion and community,” he said.

Inspired by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s vision of a stress-free and violence-free world, AOL – SSRDP continues to integrate human values into every social initiative. From sustainable farming and entrepreneurship to women’s empowerment and clean energy, every project reflects a holistic approach to nation-building.
Winning the Best NGO of the Year 2025 award is not just a milestone — it’s a reminder of what’s possible when purpose meets action. With each life touched and each community empowered, AOL-SSRDP continues its mission to create a self-reliant, compassionate, and sustainable India — and you can be a part of this change by supporting our initiatives through your contribution.
